Simplify the wiki, remove the librarian
Created
Decision (2026-09-26, me): run the vault as the stock llm-wiki skill layout (a schema file, an index,
a log, and folders for entities, concepts, comparisons, queries and raw sources) instead of the Wanderloots LLM Wiki
kit. The librarian agent profile was deleted. I wanted it kept simple and saw no need for a librarian.
Alternatives
The kit the vault ran until then: Raw → Review → Wiki, with the agentic librarian proposing pages for a person to approve, plus receipts and validators. It is the most controlled of the three ways Wanderloots describes (choose an llm wiki workflow).
Why
Simplicity, in my own words. Today’s rule follows from it: agents write pages directly, and git history is the safety net (no proposal, review or receipt step).
What happened
- The kit’s last state was tagged in git and backed up before the switch, so the change can be undone.
- A second schema version (2026-10-02) added system pages, a one-line
summary:per page, a generated index, decision pages, an inbox for raw sources and a written agent standard, without bringing back an approval step: awiki checkcommand checks form, and a Codex model reviews as a reviewer that doesn’t edit (see helpers in herdr panes codex reviews). See llm wiki.
